Matteo Passoni Tel. +39 02 2399 3267 mail: matteo.passoni@polimi.it He was born in Lodi (Italy) in 1975. In 2000 he obtained a degree summa cum laude in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. In 2004 he obtained a Ph.D. in Radiation Science and Technology with the thesis "Theoretical studies on the non-linear and relativistic interaction between ultra-intense ultra-short laser pulses and plasmas, with applications". He obtained an academic position at Politecnico di Milano (temporary in 2006, permanent researcher in 2008, as Associate Professor in 2015), where he conducts his teaching and research activity. He is lecturer for the MSc courses "Plasma physics", "Physics of the Nucleus" and for the PhD courses "Electromagnetic Radiation" and "Simmetry Applications in Classical and Quantum Physics". He is coauthor of about 80 scientific publications on international peer reviewed journals, volumes and conference proceedings.
