Stefano Foglio Tel. +39 02 2399 6354 mail: stefano.foglio@mail.polimi.it Born in 1981, he graduated in July 2006 in "Telecomunications Engineering" (specialization: Optical communications ) at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis concerning the STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscopy) in situ characterization of tungsten clusters produced by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) technique. From 2007 to 2010 he is a Ph.D student in "Materials Engineering" at Politecnico di Milano. Research project: "Scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy in situ of supported metal clusters". Actually he is focussing his attention on characterization of Pd/PdO clusters deposited on metal and ceramic substrates for model catalyst studies.
